The Reverend Nayer Taheri was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and is a proud United States citizen. She always has been inspired by the intricate mosaics that adorn everything from religious sites to everyday objects in her homeland.

In March 2019, Nayer took her first mosaic course at the Smithsonian Institute, where her instructor quickly recognized her innate talent and unique, non-conformist style.

After retiring from the ministry, Nayer embraced her true calling: creating beauty from brokenness through the art of mosaic.
